Frequently Asked Questions

What is Direct Primary Care?

Direct Primary Care is a membership-based model where you pay a flat monthly fee for unlimited access to your primary care provider. It removes insurance middlemen so you get more time, personalized care, and transparent pricing.

Why don’t you take insurance?

With DPC, there are no copays, deductibles, or surprise bills. You pay a monthly membership fee that covers office visits, telehealth, and most routine services. We work directly for you, not your insurance company.

What does my plan include?

Your membership typically covers unlimited office visits, same/next-day appointments, virtual visits (phone, text, video), extended visits when needed, basic procedures, and discounted labs.

How much does each plan cost?

Membership is billed monthly at a flat rate (varies by age or family plan). Most members find it’s less than the cost of a daily cup of coffee

Are there extra costs?

Occasionally, yes, things like outside labs, imaging, or medications aren’t included. However, we pass along wholesale pricing whenever possible so you’ll know costs up front.

Do I still need insurance?

Yes. We recommend keeping insurance for emergencies, hospitalizations, medications, or specialty care. DPC is not insurance. It’s affordable, everyday care for the majority of your health needs.

What types of conditions do you treat?

We handle most primary care needs including chronic conditions (like diabetes, hypertension, asthma), acute illnesses (colds, infections, injuries), wellness exams, preventive screenings, weight loss and mental health support.

What if I need a specialist?

We’ll help coordinate referrals and provide records, ensuring smooth communication with outside specialists.

What if I am healthy and rarely go to the doctor?

Many members join for the peace of mind, preventive care, and guaranteed access when they do need care. DPC is like having a doctor on call without the hassle of waiting rooms or hidden costs. However, we do offer “one time visits” for those incidences.
